High School Senior Ditch Day
Friday Before the Prom
Traditionally, Senior Ditch Day is the Friday before the Prom when "seniors ditch school" (don't attend school). The idea is that it takes a whole day to get ready and make arrangements for the Prom. For young ladies: nails, hair-dos, facials, etc., and for young men: tux, limo, flowers, etc. But be aware, not all teachers and administrators are sympathetic. Some teachers give huge tests on that friday to deter ditching.
